Car rental rules and conditions through the “Bolt” platform

Published on August 25, 2026

Applicable to vehicles managed by UAB “ADMITA” that the renter reserves, collects and returns remotely via the “Bolt” app
Important for the renter. Before confirming a reservation, the renter must check the vehicle model, price, rental period, collection and return location, security deposit, liability amount and cancellation terms shown in the app. These reservation details form an individual part of the rental agreement.

1. Application of the Rules

1.1. The following terms are used in these Rules:
Lessor – UAB “ADMITA”;
Renter – a natural person who reserves and rents a vehicle through the “Bolt” platform.
1.2. These Rules apply only to vehicles offered through the “Bolt” platform where the lessor is indicated in the reservation as the rental service provider or vehicle operator. The vehicle is operated and maintained by the lessor, and the rental agreement is concluded directly between the renter and the lessor. “Bolt” provides the platform for reservation, payment and remote vehicle control.
1.3. The “Bolt Drive” terms also apply to the “Bolt” app, account, driving licence verification and payment functions. These Rules supplement the “Bolt” terms and set out the procedures for use and return of the lessor’s vehicle, fees, damage and liability.
1.4. The vehicle model, price, rental period, location, security deposit and renter liability details specified in a particular reservation take precedence over the general information contained in these Rules.
1.5. By making a reservation, the renter confirms that they have read and understood these Rules, the “Bolt” terms, the reservation details and the applicable privacy policy.
1.6. The lessor sets and updates the fees, security deposit amounts, liability limits and other amounts related to vehicle use specified in these Rules. The amounts shown in the app before confirmation of a particular reservation apply to that reservation. All payments are accepted and administered by “Bolt” in accordance with the “Bolt” terms.

2. Requirements for the renter

• The renter must have a verified “Bolt” account, a valid payment method and a valid driving licence verified in the app.
• The minimum age and required driving experience are shown in the app. Different requirements may apply to individual vehicle models.
• The renter must carry a valid driving licence throughout the entire rental period.
• Only the renter who made the reservation and was approved by “Bolt” may drive the vehicle. Transferring the vehicle, keys or account to another person is prohibited.

3. Reservation, Price, Insurance and Security Deposit

3.1. Before the reservation is confirmed, the app displays the essential booking details: vehicle model, collection location, which is also the mandatory return location, collection and return times, rental price, insurance option, security deposit, renter liability amount and cancellation terms.
3.2. The security deposit amount depends on the selected vehicle model and insurance option. Depending on the vehicle model, under standard insurance the security deposit ranges from €300 to €500, while under full insurance, which includes bodywork, glass and tyre protection as well as roadside assistance, the security deposit is €100. The specific amount applicable to the selected model is shown in the app before the reservation is confirmed.
3.3. The limit of the renter’s liability for vehicle damage repair costs depends on the selected vehicle model and insurance option. According to vehicle pricing, under standard insurance the liability ranges from €600 to €1,000, while under full insurance, which includes bodywork, glass and tyre protection as well as roadside assistance, the liability is €0. The specific amount applicable to the selected model is shown in the app before the reservation is confirmed. The liability limit applies only to vehicle repair costs. Additional and administration fees are not covered by insurance and are payable separately.
3.4. Unlimited mileage is included in the rental price unless expressly stated otherwise in the specific reservation.
3.5. If a reservation is cancelled at least 2 hours before the start of the rental, no cancellation fee applies. If cancelled later, but before the rental has started, 10 per cent of the final rental price is payable. Once the rental has started, the full rental price is payable. A reservation may be cancelled free of charge within 30 minutes of being made, regardless of the time remaining until the start of the rental. The specific dates, deadlines and amounts are shown in the app.

4. Vehicle Collection and Inspection

4.1. The vehicle is collected, unlocked, locked and returned remotely in accordance with the instructions provided in the “Bolt” app.
4.2. Before driving, the renter must inspect the exterior and interior of the vehicle and check the fuel or battery level, keys, documents and any equipment left in the vehicle.
4.3. Before driving, the renter must record in the “Bolt” app all visible pre-existing vehicle damage, dirt, missing equipment or other defects, or report them to “Bolt” Support. In either case, the renter must attach clear photographs in the app or provide them through the channel specified by “Bolt” Support.
4.4. The renter must properly photograph the vehicle at the beginning and end of the rental as instructed in the “Bolt” app. These photographs serve as the renter’s evidence of the condition in which the vehicle was collected and returned.

5. Use of the Vehicle

5.1. The renter must use the vehicle carefully and for its intended purpose, comply with road traffic, parking and other applicable rules, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
5.2. It is prohibited to:

• drive while under the influence of alcohol, narcotic or psychotropic substances, or medication that affects the ability to drive;
• use the vehicle for racing, drifting, driving instruction, off-road driving, towing other vehicles or illegal activities;
• drive on roads unsuitable for the vehicle or off-road;
• use the vehicle to provide carrier services (transporting passengers or goods for remuneration);
• smoke, vape, consume alcohol or use psychotropic substances in the vehicle;
• transport animals;
• carry more passengers or a heavier load than permitted by the vehicle registration details and manufacturer requirements, or transport hazardous items or items that may damage the interior;
• carry out repairs independently, modify vehicle equipment, or disable or interfere with tracking and remote-control systems.

5.3. Local parking charges are not included in the rental price. The renter must pay them at their own expense. If a violation is recorded by the police or another authority and the authority requests identification of the driver, the lessor will provide the driver’s details to the police or other authority in accordance with Lithuanian law. The fine is issued directly to the renter, who must pay it directly to the relevant authority. An administration fee specified in the table in Section 11 applies for the administration of each road traffic, parking, road toll or other administrative offence.

6. Travel Abroad

6.1. Standard rental includes use of the vehicle within the territory of Lithuania.
6.2. Before leaving Lithuania, the renter must obtain approval from the lessor or “Bolt” and pay the border-crossing fee applicable to each country entered. The fee for a particular country is paid once and remains valid for the entire rental period, regardless of how many times that country’s border is crossed:

• Latvia, €45;
• Estonia, €45;
• Poland, €55;
• Finland, €55.

6.3. Travel to other countries is prohibited unless the lessor has approved an exception in writing. Leaving Lithuania without paying the border-crossing fee is prohibited.

7. Fuel

7.1. Fuel is not included in the rental price. The vehicle is normally provided with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full tank. If the tank was not full at collection, the vehicle must be returned with no less fuel than it had at collection.
7.2. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the refuelling service fee and missing fuel charges specified in the table in Section 11 apply.
7.3. The correct fuel type for the specific vehicle is shown in the app. The renter must use only the specified fuel. If the wrong fuel is used, the fee specified in the table in Section 11 and the actual costs incurred will apply.

8. Return and Rental Period

8.1. The vehicle must be returned to the same location shown in the app from which it was collected, and no later than the specified/reserved time. If the specific parking space used for collection is occupied, the vehicle must be parked as close as possible to the original location in compliance with parking rules. Return at another location is not considered proper return unless the lessor expressly approved a different location before return.
8.2. The vehicle may be returned early at any time before the return deadline stated in the reservation by ending the rental through the “Bolt” app. Before ending the rental, the renter must fulfil the photography obligation set out in Clause 4.4, switch off the engine, close the windows, leave the keys, documents and equipment in their designated places, remove personal belongings and lock the vehicle through the app. No refund or other compensation is provided for unused rental days.
8.3. A rental booked through the “Bolt” app cannot be extended. The renter must return the vehicle by the return time stated in their reservation.
8.4. If the vehicle is not returned by the time stated in the reservation, the fee specified in the table in Section 11 applies for each additional hour until the vehicle is properly returned. A late return does not constitute an extension of the rental.
8.5. If the vehicle is returned dirty and its condition cannot be properly assessed, the lessor has the right to wash the vehicle before inspection. The procedure for vehicle inspection and for identifying and calculating new damage is set out in Clauses 9.4 and 9.5.

9. Traffic Accidents, Breakdowns, Damage and Theft

9.1. In the event of a traffic accident, breakdown, fire, theft or discovery of damage, the renter must immediately stop in a safe place, report the incident through the “Bolt” app and call the lessor’s assistance line at +370 616 00141. The renter must follow the instructions received and, where necessary, call the police or other emergency services.
9.2. The renter must complete a traffic accident declaration or obtain police documents, photograph the scene, vehicles and damage, remain at the scene and take reasonable steps to minimise the damage.
9.3. In the event of vehicle theft, the renter must immediately notify the police and take the actions specified in Clause 9.1. The renter must hand over any vehicle keys and documents in the manner specified by the lessor, provide the police report or investigation details and follow the lessor’s reasonable instructions required for administration of the theft.
9.4. The condition of the vehicle before the rental and after return is recorded in photographs. If new damage is identified, the lessor will provide the renter with photographs supporting the damage and a calculation of the amount due.
9.5. New damage and other amounts payable in connection with the rental, regardless of vehicle cleanliness, are identified and calculated no later than 30 calendar days after the end of the rental. The lessor calculates these amounts based on the actual circumstances and costs incurred.

10. Renter Liability

10.1. In the case of ordinary damage, the renter’s liability for vehicle repair costs is limited to the amount specified in Clause 3.3 and shown in the app before the reservation is confirmed.
10.2. The liability limit specified in Clause 3.3 applies where none of the circumstances listed in Clause 10.3 are present.
10.3. The liability limit and selected insurance cover do not apply if the renter caused the damage intentionally or through gross negligence, drove while under the influence, transferred the vehicle to another person, travelled abroad without permission, used the vehicle in a prohibited manner, left the scene of an accident, failed to report the incident, or failed to provide a traffic accident declaration or police documents. In such cases, the renter must compensate the full amount of the damage and all related costs.
10.4. In the cases specified in Clause 10.3, in addition to vehicle repair costs, the renter must reimburse the costs of expert assessment, transportation, towing, diminution in value, administration and the period during which the vehicle cannot be used.
