If you’ve recently been walking through the streets of Vilnius and noticed outdoor advertisements featuring the phrase “Have You Seen Her?”, chances are you immediately continued the song lyrics in your mind. For the past three decades, this phrase has been inseparable from one of Lithuania’s most iconic music hits, and now it has also become part of the advertising campaign of Lithuanian car rental company ADMITA.
According to the company’s representatives, the decision to use Linas Adomaitis’ song “Have You Seen Her?” as the centerpiece of its brand awareness campaign was no coincidence. Both the song and the Lithuanian car rental company have been around for nearly three decades, making the campaign a symbolic meeting of two long-standing Lithuanian success stories.
Throughout the summer, residents of Vilnius can see the legendary phrase displayed on as many as 500 outdoor advertising spaces, including public transport shelters and billboards. The campaign is also featured on 200 digital screens across various business centers. Company representatives say that by the end of the summer, every resident of Vilnius should have hummed the legendary song at least once—and know exactly where to turn when they need to rent a car.

Speaking about the song’s three decades of success, Linas Adomaitis admits it’s hard to believe how quickly time has passed.
“The biggest hit by my first band, L+, Have You Seen Her?, is already 30 years old. I honestly don’t know where all those years went. I’m happy that throughout all these years the song has lived its own life at almost every one of my concerts. It continues to do so today, reaching an entirely new generation.
The story behind Have You Seen Her? is surrounded by legends. The most accurate one is this: back in 1996, a friend and I were sitting on a bench on Laisvės Alėja in Kaunas, watching people walk by. There were plenty of beautiful girls passing that day. We noticed one of them, and my friend pointed at her and said, ‘Hey, have you seen her?’ That’s how it happened—great hits are usually born from the simplest moments,” the artist recalls.
Ironically, the creators did not originally intend to include the song on their album.
“I have to admit that when we first wrote the song, we didn’t even want to put it on the album. That was youthful perfectionism getting in the way. But our friends and those closest to us insisted that we include it. We did. We never promoted the song, never sent it to radio stations, and never made any special effort to advertise it. It was simply a hidden hit that people, radio stations, television, the Miss Lithuania pageant, various brands, and even the Kaunas Žalgiris basketball club discovered on their own. To this day, I’m grateful to the young woman we saw that day. She inspired us to create a timeless tribute to beauty, youth, and love,” says L. Adomaitis.

Today, ADMITA can tell a similar story of long-term success. Founded 26 years ago as a company installing car alarm systems, it has grown into one of Lithuania’s largest car rental providers, operating a fleet of more than 1,700 vehicles across four Lithuanian cities. According to the company’s owner, Remigijus Bajarūnas, this achievement is the result of consistent decisions rather than a desire for rapid expansion.
“We never built our business on promises of being the biggest or the cheapest. It always seemed more important to do what was right for our customers and sustainable for the business itself. That’s why we grew gradually, building on a solid foundation by investing in our team, technology, infrastructure, and service quality. I believe longevity in business comes from making decisions every single day that will still be the right ones ten or twenty years from now,” says R. Bajarūnas.
What Is Built with Sincerity Stands the Test of Time
According to the company’s CEO, although this advertising campaign is primarily intended to strengthen brand awareness, it also carries a subtle message about longevity and sustainable business.
“Lithuania already has many success stories where not only songs but also businesses have stood the test of time. We’re proud to be part of one of those stories today. I believe it once again proves that lasting achievements are built through consistent work and by earning people’s trust,” says R. Bajarūnas.
L. Adomaitis believes that, in both music and business, longevity is not created by algorithms or short-lived trends.
“Think about it—when Lithuania regained its independence, there were hundreds of times fewer algorithms than there are today. Nobody was chasing clicks or views. Creators expressed themselves from the heart, not based on calculations. I believe that’s exactly what happened with Have You Seen Her?”
“Work created without emotion and driven purely by calculation has no lasting value. The human factor always matters. That’s when you realize that in every field, every workplace, and every business, it’s important not only to focus on numbers but also to show togetherness, empathy, emotion, enthusiasm, humor, and understanding. That’s how truly successful and long-lasting businesses are built. Otherwise, they’re simply here today and gone tomorrow,” concludes the artist.
