What to do when you start using a rental car?
First of all, thank you for choosing “Admita” car rental! Before starting your journey, we recommend taking a few important steps to ensure your trip is as pleasant and safe as possible:
1. Check the type of fuel used – this information can be found in the rental agreement, on the key fob, and on the fuel cap.
2. Familiarize yourself with the car’s controls – check how the headlights, handbrake, and radio are operated.
3. Adjust the seats, mirrors, and steering wheel position to make sure you feel comfortable and safe while driving.
4. Take photos of the car before and after the rental period to ensure the car’s condition is clear and avoid any misunderstandings.
5. Fasten your seatbelt and get ready to start your journey!
Before choosing which rental company to go with, we recommend considering what “cheap car rental” really means. It might seem inexpensive at first, but it’s important to understand what’s behind that price and make sure the rental company you choose is reliable and honest.
Can I return the car at any time of the day or night?
Yes, you can return the rental car at any time – it’s simple! Just drive to the parking lot of the airport where you picked up the car – Vilnius Airport (VNO), Kaunas Airport (KUN), or Palanga Airport (PLQ).
Find the same parking lot where you picked up the car, and leave it locked. We are happy to inform you that all these airports have installed a vehicle number recognition system, which will scan the rental car’s number plate and lift the barrier, so you won’t need to take any additional actions.
Returning and parking the rental car in these lots is free of charge, so you will not incur any additional costs. Simply drop the key into the safe box located near the car rental office, and everything will be taken care of!
Important: Before leaving the car, be sure to take a photo of it to avoid any misunderstandings about its condition at the end of the rental period. This will help ensure everything is in order and avoid any disputes.
Can I rent a car at any time of the day or night?
Yes, you can rent a car at any time – our services are available 24 hours a day! If you arrive late, our staff will meet you at the pre-arranged time at our office.
Important: After 10:00 PM, an additional one-time fee for after-hours service will apply. This ensures that we can guarantee your car pickup and services at any time of the day or night.
What should I do if I am unable to return the car on time?
We understand that unexpected situations can occur, such as traffic jams, closed roads, or unexpectedly late ferries, which may prevent you from returning the car on time. If this happens, please inform our car rental manager as soon as possible by calling +370 616 00141.
We provide a one-hour grace period for our customers, which means that if you inform us about the delay, you can return the car one hour later than stated in the contract without any additional charges. If the delay exceeds one hour, additional fees will apply according to the rental agreement.
Can I extend the car rental?
Yes, of course! Extending your car rental is a quick and simple process. If you would like to extend your rental period, you can do so in two ways:
Online – simply book the same car for additional days through our website.
By phone – contact our managers at +370 616 00141, and they will help you extend the rental.
Important: If you want to extend the car rental on the last day of your rental, we recommend contacting us as early as possible to ensure the car is not reserved for another customer.
Are there additional fees for returning the car to a different location?
Yes, if you wish to return the car to a different location than where you picked it up, an additional one-way rental fee applies.
International one-way rental:
- Vilnius – Riga: €180
- Vilnius – Tallinn: €242
- Kaunas – Riga: €180
- Kaunas – Tallinn: €242
- Klaipeda/Palanga – Riga: €180
- Klaipeda/Palanga – Tallinn: €242
One-way rental within Lithuania:
- Vilnius – Kaunas: €48
- Vilnius – Klaipeda/Palanga: €115

How long does it take to cancel the deposit reservation?
The deposit amount is reserved on your bank card (Visa or MasterCard) for the rental period. The cancellation period of the deposit reservation depends on your bank, so the times may vary:
Standard period – Most banks automatically cancel the reservation within 14 business days from the start of the reservation.
In some banks, the reservation may be released faster, as soon as the car is returned without damage and additional charges.
In other cases, if the reservation is not automatically canceled, we recommend contacting your bank to inquire about the specific period and the possibility to expedite the process.
If you notice that the reservation is still active after 14 business days, please contact your bank, as some financial institutions may hold it longer, even if the car rental company has already confirmed the return.
Car Rental Terms
Find out what the main requirements are to reserve and pick up a car. Here you will find information about credit cards, age restrictions, car model selection, and documents needed when picking up your rental vehicle.
Can I reserve a car without a credit card?
Yes, you can reserve a car without a credit card.
Online Reservation – a credit card is not required since an advance payment is not applied.
Payment upon Car Pickup – you will pay for the rental only when you pick up the car.
Payment Methods – you can pay with a debit/credit card or cash, depending on the rental location’s rules.
Important: While a credit card is not required for the reservation, in some cases, a credit card may be needed for the deposit reservation when picking up the car.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
Your reserved car will wait for you even if your flight is delayed.
We continuously monitor flight information – our staff at Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga airports track arrival times, so we are prepared to adjust to your arrival.
Provide your flight number – during the reservation, enter your flight number so we can respond promptly to any changes.
If you didn’t provide the flight number – inform us by phone or email to ensure a smooth car pickup.
What is the minimum age to rent a car?
To rent an “Admita” car, the driver must be at least 19 years old and have at least one year of driving experience.
For some more expensive or larger cars, stricter age and experience requirements may apply. Please check the specific model during the booking process.
Can I reserve a specific car model?
Most of our cars are available in the fleet, but we reserve the right to replace the reserved vehicle with one of the same or higher class.
For example, if you reserved a Kia Seed (compact class car) and it is unavailable at the time, we could offer a Volkswagen Golf as a replacement, which also belongs to the same category.
If it is important for you to rent a specific car model, we recommend contacting our managers before making the reservation.
What do I need to bring when picking up the car?
When picking up the rented car, please have the following documents with you:
- A valid driver’s license – required for all drivers.
- An identity document – passport or ID card.
- A valid debit/credit card (Visa or MasterCard) – required for the deposit reservation.
- The reservation number – will help speed up the process.
Changing and Cancelling Reservations

How far in advance can I cancel my car reservation?
The reservation can be cancelled for free, but we recommend cancelling no later than 24 hours before the rental begins. If the reservation is cancelled later, no fees will be charged, but adhering to this deadline will ensure a smooth process.
Cancellations can be made online or in writing via email at info@admita.lt.
Additional Services and Equipment

Can I rent a car seat for a child?
We understand your need to travel with family and children, so we ensure that your trips are safe and comfortable. We offer car seats based on age: a baby car seat for children from 0 to 4 years old (or 0 to 18 kg) and a booster seat for children from 4 to 12 years old. You can choose and order the car seats during the reservation process.
Unexpected Situations and Assistance

What should I do if I left items in the car?
If you forget items in the car you rented from us, we will ensure they are safely kept for at least one month. During this time, we encourage you to contact our team to arrange for the pickup of your belongings. To avoid any inconvenience, please check for personal items—such as sunglasses, a laptop, phone, clothes, shoes, or even sports equipment—before returning the car. We responsibly collect all forgotten items and make sure they are returned to their owners as soon as possible.
